Departure Göteborg: 2 October 2005Arrival Cádiz: 19 November 2005 The Swedish Ship Götheborg departed from the city of Göteborg on the 2nd of October 2005 after big celebrations. The route to Spain went through the Channel. The Swedish Ship Götheborg made a stop in Vigo where it was the starting vessel the for Volvo Ocean Race the 12 of November 2005. The passage will take about 30 days. In Cádiz, which is a historic port, a 12 days stop was made, with official receptions including a press conference, TV coverage and marketing activities in the programme. The ship wasl also open to the public. After six days the first section of trainees was changed to the second section. The last days before the departure was used for training the new crew members.
