Leg 3: Recife - Cape Town (4 400 nm, ca 41 dygn)

Arrival Capetown: 19 February 2006
                   
First The Swedish Ship Götheborg sailed south along the South American coast. It then turn east against South Africa with the help of the west winds. The passage toke about 40 days.

Cape Town is one of the most beautiful ports in the world and a historic port for East Indiamen. The stopover in Cape Town was a bit longer than the normal port call, about two and a half weeks, depending on the change of the professional crew.
