28th of February 2006 The Swedish Ship Götheborg departed from Cape Town, rounded the Cape of Good Hope and set course for Port Elizabeth for a two weak long stop before departing to Fremantle in Western Australia. This is the longest leg of the whole expedition, 4 800 nautical miles. The strong west winds just north of the “roaring forties" give a rather fast transit over the southern Indian Ocean of about 40 days. The Ship arrived to the twin cities Fremantle and Perth on the 13th of May 2006.
