From the logbook: Weighed anchor Stanley Bay yesterday at 1405. Engine stopped 1610. Now under sail. During night and morning wind and seas increasing.
 
Comments: Everything latched on board. Seas are high and many crew members are seasick. We are sailing on a course that is taking us east of the typhoon but we can feel its periferal effects anyway.
