From the logbook: “Open ship" 1000-1800. New deckhands arriving aboard 1830. 2000-0030 New Year´s Eve party for the entire crew on sundeck.
 
Comments: Yesterday evening the new deckhands arrived. After their arrival we had a New Year´s Eve party on board with both voluntary deckhand crews and the standing crew having a good time. Fireworks are forbidden in Singapore but we still had that special new year feeling with sketches, medal-awarding and new year´s speeches. And also a great number of konfetti-spurting “poppers".
