The maintenance work started last weekend has been continued today and most of it is now finished. Today starboard and port watches were working. Everyone had a much appreaciated extra break an hour before lunch when we could also take a swim in the sea. Everybody did not take the opportunity, but some were not inclined to be a lesser man/woman than our captain, so after him a few somewhat hesitating crew members jumped into the drink. Some Portuguese Men-of-War had been spotted earlier in the morning, but no-one of the brave was hurt. The wind has not been at all as strong today as during our previous days at anchor, even if it is by and large coming from the same direction. At the same time the weather has been perfect and many of us now have a new sun-tan to take care of.
Many small boats have taken the opportunity, now that the wind has slackened, to circle around us during the day. Cameras have been in action on board the Swedish Ship Götheborg and, above all, on these boats. A ship passing by, obviously some oceanographic research ship, made our oceanographic and marine biology scientists on board quite envious.
