Comments:
Yesterday we anchored off two small islands. Today both boats have been rowed ashore to let part of the crew take a swim, sunbathe or scuba-dive. The rest of them work with the usual maintenance tasks. Also the carpenter has been diving to inspect the underwater hull. Everything was all right, with the exception of some protective plates on the front edge of the rudder that were twisted.
The temperature on deck in the shadow is 35ºC. Already this morning the first plunges were made from the ship´s chainwales. We will certainly see more of that.
