Comments:
Good Friday is dragging on and so is the Swedish Ship Götheborg. We have been very near an all-time low speed record for 24 hours on the leg Africa-Australia. That was done by following the wind around the compass during a slow turn to the port. But the wind is increasing all the time so the next 24 hours will probably see us make more way.

But then what about the celebration of Easter on board? Could that have been forgotten in the planning? There should however be eggs enough to let everyone paint a hard-boiled one (and most probably want to eat it right away afterwards). Word is that there are two cans of herring on board and this is really the time to take them out.

Today also saw a life boat drill and a lecture on the excavations of the old East Indiaman Götheborg. It was an exciting story, told by one of those who took part in the first divings in the 1980´s, one who personally saw a60 centimetreslayer of shattered porcelain on the bottom of the sea, and who has actually followed this improbable project of building a new East Indiaman and sailing her to China and back from its very start. Most interesting indeed!
