Another rather eventless day on board the East Indiaman. This however is more depending on the fact that it is Sunday and our - up to a point - day of rest on board. Our students are also free of work today. The watches are there, of course, but otherwise sun-bathing and books have dominated this day.

In the morning hours we once again found some wind and our main engine was stopped. So it was a short jubilation for our technical department on board. Sails were set again and we are now making rather good southward speed. The watch has to some extent been training the manœuvring of sails.

Since it is Sunday, we are expecting another entertainment on gundeck by a watch. There is an atmosphere of anticipation on board, now that the show will start in a couple of hours time. Based on previous experiences, it will most probably be a hotch-potch of games, satires and singing. We wait in awe...
