We had rather preferred to go further south, buth wind and weather forecasts made us take a more easterly course. The seas have been high all night and today also. Sea-sickness is spreading but there are but few serious cases.
The fire alarm at 1100 was a false one, it was quickly stated, and caused by extra hot cooking vapours in combination with an all too limited ventilation in the galley. It was noted that everyone came to the fire stations very quickly, now that we for once had a “real" alarm. When there are fire drills they are warned beforehand so no-one is surprised when hearing the signal.
Today the first albatross was spotted.
