A day of few surprises. Work is going on, on lightning-conductors, bumpers, painting here and there, according to plan. In view of the short time before our next port-call no major work is started. The students are on their last week on board and are busy checking their gear. Starting tomorrow rain clothes and other things are to be turned in, to have that ready before we are mooring. Also the student´s evaluation of the voyage from Cádiz to Recife is going on. It is always a good thing to have someone else´s views on how things are being done on board. Hopefully we have succeeded in correcting most of the items listed by their student predecessors. Winds have been moderate and we have been sailing with a reduced set of sails today. There is however no risk of a late arrival. Our time of arrival is at 1300 Friday and should problems arise we could always start our main engine. It is a good thing to have braces as well as a belt.
