Monday on board has been rather quiet, with no visiting ambassadors or general public. In the morning the East Indiaman was visited by some school classes who had been invited by the town of Recife in cooperation with SKF. Our Brazilian students were guiding and everything was well appreciated.

The afternoon was also quiet. We have been visited by ship chandlers and agents, and our orders for the upcoming voyage have been handed over. One of the most important is of course the one for provisions. We have learnt that sometimes ample time is needed to get the right things. Language difficulties and cultural differences result in supplies being not exactly what you have ordered. So time is needed to get various samples and possible alternatives to items that cannot be provided.

Tonight the second film of the Swedish film festival is to be shown. Its title is “The Guy in the Grave Next Door". It will be most interesting to sit in and watch the reactions of the audience, to see if this movie will be as big a success as it was in Sweden. Crossing fingers.
