Tuesday and last day on board for the second batch of students before they go home. Most of them, except for the ones having the pleasure of being on watch, have taken the opportunity of making the last tours of Recife and its surroundings. Some final warmth, sun and souvenirs before snow and cold back home.
During the day, the East Indiaman has had two important visitors. The first one was the Under-secretary of State of the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs and entourage who had a thorough tour on board. The second visitor was the former Speaker of the Brazilian Parliament and his family. They were also treated to a tour according to their wishes and all visitors were more than happy with their stay on board.
In the morning we were once again visited by some school classes. In all, they were about 350 people coming on board. Just like the last time this visit had been arranged by the town of Recife and SKF. In the afternoon and evening we have had the second “open ship" of this port-call. Somewhat fewer visitors this time, but still 2,946 persons visited the ship. That is also really something and perhaps today´s number was a bit more suitable, since queues were not as terribly long as when we had a thousand more people on board the other day. Everything in moderation.
