From early morning on the ship was visited by a large number of school classes who were guided around the ship. And as before the visit was arranged by SKF and the town of Recife. At the same time, it was “open ship" for the general public. Since this was more in the daytime, there were no large queues. But with a steady influx of visitors we reached no less than 3,900 persons all the same, who took the opportunity to go on board the “Götheborg". There were also a number of VIP visits. The first one was the governor of the state of Pernambuco. Having first sent his security people on board, the governor arrived shortly after lunch and swished through the ship like a wind. There were also a lot of photographs taken, with families and patting small children on their cheeks. It is election year. Visitor number two, nearly exactly at the same time, was the head of the state´s judiciary and his entourage. It was something of an achievement, guiding these two entourages plus their bodyguards around the ship without colliding. And during “open ship" at that. The evening saw another sponsor arrangement.
