From the logbook
By motor for 24 hours. Adverse wind and sea. Last night high seas, many seasick.

Comments
The days imply training and more training. Many seasick due to high adverse seas. At 0240 the fire alarm sounded for real. Everyone went up on deck in accordance with the fire drill we had had during the day. It turned out to be water that had landed on a electric extension and smoke started to rise. No danger. Those who could in the rough seas tried to fall asleep again. Yesterday a 70- 80 centimetres barracuda was caught.
