From the logbook
By motor for 24 hours. Adverse wind and sea. High seas last night, many seasick. We have set three studding-sails to damp the rolling, but because of that we are not sticking to the intended course.

Comments
Many still seasick. The biologist and the oceanograph have taken their first sample from a depth of about50 metres . Ship´s carpenter doing maintenance work.
