Comments
Situation rather much the same as yesterday. Little wind, hot and low speed. Yesterday afternoon we were suddenly visited by two small fishing vessels from Sri Lanka. They said they had at first been very frightened when they saw us out in the offing, thinking we were some kind of sea monster, and had set out in the other direction. But curiosity had the upper hand and they turned around and then could sell us some newly caught tuna for a few cartons of cigarettes and two cans of water. They had been at sea fishing for two months now and were very talkative. This meeting explains all the small buoys we have seen every now and then, they are for nets.
