From the logbook: Starting to flood drydock at 0300. Ship afloat at 0630. All seavalves tight. Dock-gates open at 0725. Ship out of dock at 0905, moored at ferry terminal beside the wharf at 0930. Starting to take in fuel at 1000, finished at 1300. 1300-1430 “Open ship" for the locals. 1430 30 crew members ashore to take part in the departure ceremony. 1530 leaving mooring, 1653 pilot leaving the ship.
Comments: We have been unable to send the ship´s diary for a couple of days now, since the server has been dismounted. During these days we have also had a Swedish Maritime Safety Agency representative on board for inspection.
Leaving the drydock in the morning, now also to the sound of crackers, albeit far fewer than when we went into the dock. Mooring at the ferry terminal nearby the wharf. Following “Open ship" the departure ceremony starts and our captain is declared Honorary Citizen of this island - the 3rd ever! There is also a ceremony to appease the sea gods. We then depart aided by pilot and tug. Start going by motor but we are planning to set sail later in the evening.
