On the 30th of July the Swedish Ship Götheborg arrives to Varberg, to participate in Galtabäcksskeppets rågsegelträff 2015. Sailing ships from different countries will participate in the gathering for squared sailed tall ships, which takes place from the 30th of July to the 2nd of August. The ship will stay in Varberg until the 2nd of August. Varberg is the fifth stop over during the European Tour 2015.
On the quay, you can visit our exhibitions on the Swedish East India trade, and a photo exhibition with stunning images from the ship expeditions worldwide.
The Swedish Ship Götheborg arrives to Varberg 16:00 July 30th. There will be an arrival ceremony, including a cannon salute, interview with the captain and shanty singing.
The ship will be open for the public on July 31, 10.00 – 18.00, August 1, 10.00-18.00 and 2 August, 10.00-20.00. Welcome aboard and smell of tar and wood, of adventure and sea. Talk to the crew who talks about life on board.
On the 2nd of August at 21.00 the Swedish Ship Götheborg departs from Varberg and set course towards Bremerhaven to participate in one of Europe’s largest maritime festivals, Sail Bremerhaven 2015.
