The Swedish Ship Götheborg will be moored at Stenpiren for the third consecutive summer. After the ship’s summer tour, she will be welcomed back to Gothenburg on 3 August and then moor up at Stenpiren. On the following day, a cannon will fire a salute at 11:00 CET to announce that the Swedish Ship Götheborg is open to visitors. The ship will then be open to the general public every day up to and including 26 August.
Boarding tickets, souvenirs and refreshments are available to purchase in the events area on the pier. This is where the Swedish Ship Götheborg’s expedition to China is shown in the film Till Kina och hem igen (‘To China and home again’), recorded during the historical voyage of 2005-2007. For the entire time she is moored at Stenpiren, companies and private individuals can book guided tours and dinners on board, outside of public opening hours.
We open daily at 11:00 CET by firing a cannon salute from the pier. At the same time the ship opens to visitors, and on board our guides in period costume are ready to talk about the ship and answer questions. You can come aboard any time you like, and you can stay until the ship closes at 18:00 CET.
If you would like to take a guided tour, there is one daily at 18:15 CET. The tour takes approximately 45 minutes and is held in Swedish or English. Tickets must be purchased before 18:15 CET on the pier next to the ship.
Whether you go aboard independently or as part of a guided tour, the price is SEK 100 per adult and SEK 50 per child, while children aged 6 and under go free of charge.
Enjoy the wonderful views of the river in our café on the pier, where we sell tea, coffee and cakes, ice-cream, light meals, and hot and cold drinks. Open daily 11:00-20:00 CET.
