Visit Us

In 2017, a new chapter will be written in the history of the Swedish Ship Götheborg. The ship will be a new historic visitor’s destination in Gothenburg, where Masthuggskajen will be the future location. Until then the ship will be belayed at Pir Fyra 2 on Eriksberg in Gothenburg. Welcome to the Swedish Ship Götheborg!

Guided tours

The Swedish Ship Götheborg is a genuine working ship with a vibrant history. Scarred by harsh storms and marked by thousands upon thousands of nautical miles on the seven seas and accustomed to welcoming visitors from all over the world. Find out about a magnificent adventure with a guided tour aboard the ship.

Our knowledgeable and inspiring guides will take you on a journey from the 18th century Swedish East Indian Company when a small country became part of a big world, to the unique construction of today’s East Indiaman and its adventurous expeditions worldwide. Our guides have sailed with the ship and know how it is to wake up in the middle of the night for a pass on top of the deck and climbing high in the rig. The guides share their experiences from time on board and are happy to answer your questions. Welcome to experience a fascinating story in a unique environment.

We offer guided tours in both Swedish and English. A guided tour is about an hour long. Afterwards, you always there is always an opportunity to visit our souvenir shop ashore.
