Owners and Owner Directives
The Swedish East India Company (Svenska Ostindiska Companiet AB) is wholly owned by the East Indiaman Götheborg Foundation.
The owner directives and articles of association set the scope of our activities and manage our operations.
THE SWEDISH EAST INDIAN COMPANY’S ASSIGNMENT
In the owner directives, the Swedish East Indian Company’s mission is formulated as such:
“The Foundation has decided that the ship will be stationed in Gothenburg and will be part of the new “Masthuggskajen” as soon as possible. The ship will be a visitor’s destination in Gothenburg and a meeting place that stimulates international trade.
In connection with “Masthuggskajen”, or where the Board finds it appropriate, a Visitor’s Centre will be built in order to strengthen urban and Real Estate development in the area.
The described assignment is to be performed by the Swedish East India Company.
The outset is that the organisation will bear its own costs in the long run.”
