Traditional craftsmanship: fitting iron rings on the main mast!

On the 26th of May our crew showed some real traditional craftsmanship. They were putting back 6 iron rings on the main mast. The rings were heated up to 800 degrees and were placed on the mast. Once the rings were in place they were cooled with water so that the metal shrunk and it would keep the pieces of the mast together!
